Shakisha began her career as a certified medical coder and quickly rose to lead billing departments for multi-specialty groups. She identified a critical gap: practices, especially telehealth and teledentistry, were overpaying for opaque billing services with hidden fees.
In 2018, she founded GoTo Telemed Bill to offer clear, all-inclusive RCM with a flat 3% model. Under her leadership, the company has recovered millions in underpaid claims and helped hundreds of providers streamline their revenue cycle.
Shakisha is known for hands-on involvement — every client has direct access to her. She holds certifications in medical coding (CPC) and healthcare compliance (CHC), and regularly speaks on telehealth reimbursement.
